The University of North Texas is amping up for its fourth annual UNT Day of Giving
on April 27-28, 2026 — and this year, there’s $1 million in challenge gifts to be
unlocked.
The University of North Texas celebrated a major step forward in student financial
empowerment with the dedication of the Student Money Management Center, powered by
DATCU, marking a partnership designed to help students build financial confidence,
navigate real-time challenges and plan for long-term success.
After a 40-year career in teaching, Bonnie Hardaway ('79 M.A.) decided to leave
her estate to the University of North Texas, a gift that ensures scholarships for
future teachers graduating from UNT.
A student’s relationship with music often begins in an elementary classroom, long
before questions of majors or careers ever arise. At the University of North Texas,
that early spark — and the educators who ignite it — are central to the mission of
the College of Music.
