UNT Mayborn School of Journalism Joins NBCU Academy

The Mayborn School of Journalism is honored to join 16 other major national journalism schools as part of NBCUniversal News Group's NBCU Academy. A commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, the NBCU Academy is a multi-year partnership with Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Hispanic-Serving Institutions and colleges with significant Black, Indigenous and People of Color populations.

Kroger Donates $250K to UNT’s Food Pantry

Kroger announced a five-year, $250,000 financial commitment to support the university’s food pantry, now known as the UNT Food Pantry Presented by Kroger. With the added support, UNT will ensure the food pantry’s shelves remain stocked and employ two student workers to assist with inventory, volunteer management and the online order system that was put in place during the pandemic.

Bank of America Supports Students at UNT at Frisco

Bank of America awarded the University of North Texas at Frisco $30,000 in support of its Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (B.A.A.S.) program. This program is designed to help students with diverse backgrounds, including those with prior college credit or military service, earn a bachelor's degree in the most streamlined way possible. The B.A.A.S. program provides an alternative path for graduates to obtain meaningful jobs or build upon their careers.

Regions Bank Continues to Support UNT’s Professional Leadership Program

Regions Bank has given $75,000 to UNT’s Professional Leadership Program (PLP) in the G. Brint Ryan College of Business, where students develop competency in soft skills like stewardship, communication, teamwork, diversity and inclusion, problem solving and ethical practice. With this gift, Regions is supporting UNT’s strong first-generation population and the excellent type of leadership cultivated through the PLP’s weekly workshops and connections with industry mentors.
