Giving Initiatives

Contributing to a specific initiative or campaign allows you to personalize your support to your passion and target your gift to an area of need within the university.

UNT annually awards $360 million in financial aid, including more than $46 million in scholarships, to 75 percent of our students, to increase the accessibility of an affordable, high-quality education. Funding scholarships empower deserving students to unlock their own potential and become the creative leaders of tomorrow.

In all corners of our top-tier research university, innovators, trailblazers and visionaries are making advances that lead to groundbreaking discoveries. Your gifts support revolutionary research and help us recruit and retain the brightest minds.

Service and Programs

When learning moves outside the classroom, students nurture their passions and cultivate skills through real-world experiences. Your gifts to UNT create life-changing experiences for our students that give them the tools to succeed after they leave campus.

Other Opportunities

  • Diamond Eagles Society

This giving society utilizes a venture philanthropy model to initiate positive change on campus. Every year, each member makes a $1,000 contribution. These gifts are pooled together to fund a high-impact campus project, determined by a member majority vote. Through their collective impact, members of the Diamond Eagles Society help shape the UNT experience for current and future generations!

  • Kuehne Speaker Series — Join us March 7 as we welcome Jerry Jones.

The Kuehne Speaker Series is a University of North Texas signature networking event featuring distinguished speakers that share their insights and perspective on relevant global issues.

  • We Care We Count

During this annual faculty and staff giving campaign, employees join together in generosity to support UNT and make a difference in the lives of the students they serve. In 2018 the campaign hit an all-time record with 30 percent participation and almost 1,500 gifts — a testament to the caring and supportive nature of our campus community. The 2019 campaign will run from April 1 through May 3.
