DENTON, Texas—The University of North Texas Division of Advancement received an award from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) in the category of “Project or Special Events” for it achievements during the UNT Kuehne Speaker Series.
CASE District IV is a leader in providing resource development, training programs and marketing services in the areas of alumni relations, communications, and philanthropy for the southwest regions of the United States.
The event was judged on its overall results and creativity with a goal of strengthening alumni relations. The award follows the most successful UNT Kuehne Speaker Series event held in October of 2016 featuring Rudy Giuliani. The event saw record-setting attendance of more than 600 guests, most of which were alumni, which lead to a boost in overall awareness and donations.
The UNT Kuehne Speaker Series was established in 2013 by benefactor Ernie Kuehne ('66) to provide recognition to UNT in the Dallas area by providing a forum to engage in conversation about topics of global and national relevance. Past speakers include the 107th Mayor of New York City, Rudy Giuliani; businessman, T. Boone Pickens; and former President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank in Dallas, Richard W. Fisher.
The next UNT Kuehne Speaker Series event will be Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas and will feature FOX Business Network Senior Correspondent, Charles Gasparino.
