University Advancement Annual Report 2018-2019

Because of the generosity of friends and donors, FY 2018-19 was another record-breaking year in fundraising for University Advancement.

Overall commitments grew to a record $61 million, including the largest gift in university history — $30 million from G. Brint Ryan (’88, ’88 M.S.) and his wife, Amanda. The UNT endowment surpassed $200 million for the first time, foundation partnerships increased and legacy giving is at a three-year high.

“The numbers are exciting, but there’s so much more to UNT’s story,” says David Wolf, vice president for university advancement. “As we reach milestones in fundraising, our students and faculty are able to aim higher, fly further and become the leaders our future needs. When we break records, we change real lives.”

The 2018-19 University Advancement Annual Report showcases the year’s facts and figures and tells the stories of UNT teachers and trailblazers, soldiers, athletes and advocates, the leaders of tomorrow and past leaders committed to leaving a legacy. Read their stories and discover how UNT donors are removing obstacles and creating unparalleled opportunities for our students and faculty.
